Dreaming of le Tour de France

Every school day when I was a 11 year old kid I used to ride 14km, up and over Gordon’s Hill Road, along the Tasman highway to MacKillop College and dream of growing up to be a rider in le Tour de France. I did it to save spending pocket money on a Metro 10 and it became my first real passion.

Today I’ll be at the summit of a HC climb in the Alps cheering on Cadel for the Maillot Jaune and Matt Goss for the Maillot Vert.

As close as I’ll ever get to fulfilling the dream: I’ll take it.
